Diwali

On November 14th, we celebrated Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. We started by having Shalli (Aadi's mum) coming to the class to explain the real meaning of this celebration. We've made our own Dias (lights) and just enjoyed the party! It was really beautiful!

Learning different types of dance...

This week, we danced hip-hop with Barbara Johnson, an experienced hip-hop teacher and learned more about Spanish dance: "sevillanas", with Oriente, "my amorsito", from grade 1.
Most of our kids had already hip-hop last year, so it went quite good. We will incorporate it in our Dance Performance on the 28th of November.

Learning different types of dance...

We also have been introduced to Indian dance. Foram (Keya's mum) danced for us; we also watched bits of indian musicals and she has drawn "henna" on our hands. Lovely!
Parent participation: always welcome and highly appreciated!

Learning different types of dance...

We have also been learning few steps of Irish dance and miss Claire helped us. It's very challenging but it will look nice, we think...

Halloween

On Halloween: mums came to help carving our "jack-o-lanterns", we dressed up in our best costumes, nursery and pre-k came for trick or treat. Just spooky, busy and fun!!!

Dancing, dancing dancing...

Our Dance studio is always busy. The children are always engaged in learning ballet steps and on, also, rehearsing the dances we have to present for the school, on the 28th of this month.

The Police came to school (the community helpers unit, still!)

On October 28th, the "Stadtpolizei Zuerich", came to school to show us what they do to help and protect people. They came all prepared and we have all learned very much and had lot of fun.
Thank you, police officers!!
