The Class Council

During the class council (taken place on Friday mornings) we discuss few things written on the class diary (throughout the week)and/or any other important topic. This time, still based on this unit of inquiry "Clothes", the children and teacher wondered about school uniforms and about a dress code. We have invited, Erin and Tracy, from Kiga 2, to come over to show and tell us about their school uniforms' experience. Very interesting...

A lot of learning took place...

The children learned: how to sew; that fabrics have sometimes patterns (we saw that in Maths); during Science, the kids have seen which materials keep us the warmest.

We've asked the children and parents to work on this poster at home, to be presented together, or not, at school. The result was great! A lot of effort, as always...

We have decided to make a fashion show with recycled material clothes. For this, we followed all the steps about making clothes: the sketches, choosing the material and, of course, inviting the parents for a "little hand".
